College of Communication and Information Sciences (C&IS) Ambassadors Practice Test

After introductory courses, class sizes in C&IS tend to be smaller because courses become more specialized and interactive. A typical range is about fifteen to thirty-five students. Smaller groups support more discussion, hands-on projects, and individualized feedback, which are common in upper-level seminars, labs, and project-based courses. Large introductory lectures draw many majors, but once students focus on a specific track, sections are capped to ensure meaningful participation. The other ranges are less representative of how upper-division classes are run.
